Once again we visited our favorite beach! The kids had a blast. We spent many hours building sand castles, swimming and taking walks on the beach. It is always nice to get away and have some family time.
While preparing for a new Turley baby, we have a tradition that the kids make a Build a Bear for their new sibling. This time was no different. It is neat to see which one they pick out and how they will dress it. It is also fun to watch them listen to the lady at the store tell them to “make a wish” or “think about something you would tell the baby” or “kiss the heart.” I love watching everything that goes into the bear. Maybe a silly little thing, but so special that the first gift the baby gets is from their siblings.
Just a little fun with our fellow homeschoolers. It’s nice to have the park to ourselves!
Big sister isn’t the only one getting a new bed. These two are now roomies and Stella is out of the crib and into a twin bed. Here’s hoping everyone gets some sleep tonight.
With the new baby coming soon, big sister gets a new room!
She is so excited and we are too. She is growing up too fast though.
What a fun night we had at the Awana Grand Prix. The kids built and painted their own cars, and we took them to church to race against other friends. Both kids did very well. Emilia came in first for design and in first for her grade and first overall. Hayden came in first for his grade and second overall.
We were happy for both kiddos and were proud of their sportsmanship also. Good job Hayden and Emilia, can’t wait till next year!
These two want in on the “prepare for baby” time also.
My little mommies. No “real” babies will be worn by these two any time soon though. Aren’t they just the cutest thought?
When Daddy gets a snow day off work, we all get a special breakfast. Thanks Daddy!
Well, we had to wait a long time, but we finally got some snow. It snowed, and snowed, and snowed. And the kids waited, and waited, and waited. And hours later we had a foot of snow!
It was so fun to watch the kids play in the snow. I was impressed at how long kids can stay outside. Its like they never get cold!
Something yummy on this Valentine’s Day.
